The original gridbook was the grid-lined notebook used to record my experiments from Organic Chemistry in college. I started writing poetry in the back of my gridbook. Before long I had filled every spare page in that gridbook and purchased another. I began filling these books with all of my thoughts, journals, drawings, and writings. By the time I had transitioned to working on a computer I had filled nearly 30 of these books. When I took the step of putting my writings online for others to read it seemed obvious that I was continuing what I had started in those old gridbooks. |
